President Claudia San Pedro
Claudia San Pedro serves as president of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
San Pedro assumed her role in January 2018. She joined SONIC in 2006 as vice president of investor relations and treasurer. In that role, she directed financial planning, procurement and investment of funds for the organization and formulated investor relations strategy and oversaw communications with the investment community. San Pedro was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer in 2015, and was responsible for SONIC’s financial planning practices, as well as the brand’s relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.
Prior to joining SONIC, she served as the director for the Oklahoma Office of State Finance (OSF). Appointed by Governor Brad Henry in 2005, San Pedro was the first female and first Hispanic to serve as director of state finance for Oklahoma.
Before joining OSF and the Henry administration, San Pedro served as the assistant director of the Oklahoma State Senate fiscal staff and a staff budget analyst for the senate appropriations subcommittees on education, human services and general government.
San Pedro presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, BOK Financial, and the Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools. She also serves on the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business Board of Advisors.
San Pedro holds an undergraduate degree from Smith College in Massachusetts and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma.
Born in Mexico City, San Pedro resides in Oklahoma City with her family.
President of Sonic Restaurants, Inc. Christina Vaughan
Christina Vaughan serves as president of Sonic Restaurants, Inc. (SRI), Sonic Corp.’s division of company drive-ins for SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
In her role, Vaughan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of SRI operations including field marketing, finance, risk management and human resources for SRI drive-ins.
Vaughan started her career with SONIC in 2002 as a field marketing representative for the Central Region. She was promoted to regional marketing director in 2006 and in 2010 was promoted to regional vice president of the Central Region. Starting in 2013, Vaughan held the position of vice president of market strategies, and in 2014 she took the lead of the systemwide 20/20 Drive-In project. Prior to her current position, she served as vice president of franchise operations and was responsible for guiding franchisees in all aspects of operations including all areas of business planning, compliance, people, operational standards and guest experience.
Prior to joining Sonic, Vaughan served as a SONIC account executive at Barkley Evergreen and Partners, Inc. in Kansas City, Mo.
Vaughan holds a Bachelor of Science in communication management with an emphasis in public relations and a marketing minor from Southwest Missouri State University. She also received a Master of Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
Senior vice president and general counsel Paige Bass
Paige Bass serves as senior vice president and general counsel of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
In her role, Bass leads SONIC’s internal legal department and is responsible for all legal services for the SONIC corporate entities. She also has oversight of SONIC’s cybersecurity and franchise administration functions. She joined SONIC as associate general counsel in April 2004 and was promoted to vice president and general counsel in 2007.
Before joining SONIC, Bass was an associate with Crowe & Dunlevy, one of the largest law firms in Oklahoma. She serves on the board of directors for SSM Health Care of Oklahoma, Inc. She is also involved with several community organizations, including serving as president of the board of trustees for Westminster School in Oklahoma City, as a member of the board of directors for Leadership Oklahoma City and as a member of the steering committee for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber’s Forward OKC initiative. Bass is also a member of the board of visitors for the University of Oklahoma College of Law and was elected to The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation in 2010. Bass is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City Class of XXIX.
Bass has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University. She also graduated, with highest honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Oklahoma Law Review, was elected to the Order of the Coif and received numerous awards, including the Nathan Scarritt Prize.
A native of Clinton, Oklahoma, Bass resides in Oklahoma City with her husband and their two children.
Senior Vice President of Franchise Relations E. Edward Saroch
Eddie Saroch is senior vice president of franchise relations for the Oklahoma City-based national headquarters of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®. In his current role, Saroch oversees all aspects of franchise operations including operations, field services, quality assurance, food safety, equipment & customer satisfaction and is also responsible for all franchise relations for the chain.
Saroch has served SONIC in various capacities including: director of operations for Sonic Restaurants, Inc. (SRI), regional vice president for Sonic Industries (SI), president for SRI, senior vice president of SI – developing markets, and most recently senior vice president of field services.
For more than 16 years, Saroch managed multiple operational positions at Hardee’s Food Systems prior to joining SONIC.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of Missouri at Rolla, Mo. Saroch is a member of Leadership Oklahoma City, Class XXV.
A native of Rolla, Mo., Saroch currently lives in Edmond, Okla., with his wife.
Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Lori Abou Habib
Lori Abou Habib is vice president and chief marketing officer for the Oklahoma City-based national headquarters of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®. She leads all marketing strategy for SONIC, which includes national marketing, media, digital strategy, marketing technology and product innovation.
Lori is a 10-year veteran of SONIC, joining the company in 2007 as a product pipeline manager. Over the past decade, she has led local marketing, brand management, product pipeline and creative for the brand. Previously she served as vice president of national marketing; responsible for marketing strategy, brand management, marketing calendar and creative. In her most recent position, Abou Habib served as vice president of national marketing and led SONIC’s brand management team, focused on strategic marketing planning, the marketing calendar and innovative product pipeline. In that role Abou Habib also headed the advertising and content teams, and led creative development for advertising and consumer content. Prior to joining SONIC, she served as regional marketing manager for CKE Restaurants, Inc. and as senior marketing manager for Eateries, Inc.
In 2010, Abou Habib was named Sonic Corp. Employee of the Year and earned the Strategic Initiatives, Outstanding Contributions, for 2013 and 2015 as well as the coveted Work Your Spirit Award for 2015.
Abou Habib obtained a bachelor of business administration in marketing with a public relations and advertising minor from the University of Central Oklahoma. She also received a master of business administration with an emphasis in international marketing from Webster International University in London, England.
Vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer Corey Horsch
Corey Horsch, CFA, serves as vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
Horsch’s responsibilities include directing SONIC’s financial relationships and providing input on the strategic direction of the brand through oversight and input on market planning processes, as well as capital structure decisions.
Horsch joined SONIC in 2015 as vice president of investor relations and treasurer and has been instrumental in managing the financial planning, procurement, and investment of funds for the brand.
Prior to SONIC, Horsch was with Surveyor Capital in Dallas, Texas, where he worked as a portfolio manager leading a team of industry analysts to manage consumer-related equity investments. Prior to his work with Surveyor Capital, he served as a senior research analyst covering the consumer discretionary sector at Luther King Capital Management.
Horsch received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from Texas Christian University. He also holds an M.B.A. from McCombs School of Business.
Horsch is currently a volunteer board member of the Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma. He is married, has two sons and currently resides in Oklahoma City.
Vice President of Supply Chain and Purchasing Michele Varian
Michele Varian is vice president of supply chain and purchasing for the Oklahoma City-based national headquarters of SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
Varian is responsible for all aspects of supply chain management supporting SONIC, including purchasing, distribution, demand planning and supply chain. She recently implemented a new purchasing group to manage indirect spend for the corporate and franchise system.
Varian joined SONIC in 2014 with more than 20 years of experience in foodservice purchasing, distribution and finance. Before joining SONIC, Varian held positions with LSG Sky Chefs NAM, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Brinker International, Campbell Taggart (now part of the Bimbo Bakeries USA), Maybelline Products, Inc. and Yoplait USA – General Mills Company.
Varian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of North Texas, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager certification.
A member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) for 20 years, Varian has volunteered on various committees and served as the vice-chairperson of the volunteer recruitment and development committee as well as chairperson of the virtual events committee. In 2011, Varian was recognized as WFF Volunteer of the Year. She is currently a founding member of SONIC’s Women’s Leadership Network affinity group and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee at SONIC.
Varian serves on the Operations Committee for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Hope’s Kitchen Board and the newly formed Chain Restaurant Advisory Board for IFMA. She is a member of Class 37 of Leadership Oklahoma City, an organization with the mission to develop leaders for civic service.
In her spare time, Varian enjoys international travel with her husband, Dave, and researching family history. She has two grown children, Angela and David.
Vice President of Development and Construction Johnny Jones
Johnny Jones serves as vice president of development and construction for SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
Jones’ responsibilities include overseeing the development and construction areas while driving the market planning and strategy necessary to increase the company’s growth. His previous roles with SONIC include vice president of real estate and development, director of real estate and development, manager of GIS-graphic information systems, programmer/analyst and manager of technology services.
He obtained a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Oklahoma State University. Jones is currently involved as a member in the International Council of Shopping Centers.
He resides in Chickasha, Okla., with his wife, Angela, and their children, Carson and Avery.
